Volunteers
Volunteers Urgently Needed
Ways to become involved - join your local Neighbourhood Support Network.
Neighbourhood Support Auckland urgently needs responsible volunteers in all areas of Auckland City to help meet our goals of safe, friendly, crime free communities
You could contribute by becoming a trusted Neighbourhood Advocate promoting safety and strategies to reducing crime. Volunteers are required throughout Auckland and we offer comprehensive training. If this sounds like you please email or phone our office on 09 815 9605.
We are always looking for self motivated volunteers who would like to help neighbourhood support. There is a variety of work including helping to start new support groups, office duties, participating in events and fundraising and help at working bees. Any support for our organisation either by contributing time or financially is gratefully received and acknowledged.
We are also looking for area coordinators in many suburbs. If you would like to go on a list to be contacted from time to time please contact us. If you or someone you know would like to help out, please contact us
We require – honest reliable volunteers for:
- Area coordinators
- Staff for our offices
- Web content developers
- Web Data inputting
- Fundraisers
- Financial contributions
- helpers at public events and festivals
- and many more
* We give certificates to volunteers to show they have done community service
Due uncertainty about crime and safety in neighbourhoods and shops we are receiving a very high demand for our services leading to a very high workload.
What we offer:
- Free ongoing training
- Full acknowledgement for voluntary and financial contributions
- Friendly organisation
- Knowledge that you are taking positive action against crime and for public safety
Please note that applicants may have to have a police clearance check.
